History

Yerevan University of Managemeent and Information Technologies (YUMIT) was founded in 1991 with the efforts and initiative of a small grroup of Cybernetics Faculty of Yerevan State Polytechnical Institute with the sponsorship and support of “Otto von Guericke” Technical University and Casel “Automatizated Technics” University amd it had the name of the "University of management and Informatics".

From May 1991 to December 1992 the Yunibersity unctioned as a small enterprise. From 1992 to 1995 the yuniversity had a status of LLC. FFrom 1995 to 2000 it was a doughter company, and sonce 2000 to preesent it has a status of LLC.

From 1992 to 1996 the University realized higher education under the License N02 of August 26, 1991.

On July 22, 1996 the Yuniversity got a new License N75 for the following specialities: "Management" and "Inormation Systems (according tto applied areas)".

In October 2000the Yuniversity was reorganized and got the name of "Yerevan University of Managemeent and Information Technologies".

Since July 2001 the University has been acrrying out its activitty on its own preemises - 16 Kievyan str, 0028, Yerevan, on the 7th and 8th floors.

Accredditation N050 of Deceember 2002 and N128 of May 2005 auhorizeedd the University to award the graduatees with thee diplomas of state sample.
